Cognate to Okinawan いりうむてぃ iri umuti; Kohama (Yaeyama) いりむてぃ irimuti; Ishigaki (Yaeyama) いれィむてぃー irïmutii; Iriomote (Yaeyama) いりむてぃー irimutii; and standard Japanese いりおもて【西表】 iriomote.

Notes

Iriomote is the largest of the Yaeyama islands with a population of about 2000, and the second largest island in the Okinawa Prefecture. It is also home to the unique, but critically endangered Iriomote wildcat.
