- おもろさうし Omoro Saushi (1531-1623) records "あおり", "あふり", "あけのみあおり", "嶋うちみあおり", "たまのみあおり" and "又くもこみあおり".
- 混効験集 Konkoukenshuu (1711), "Words of the Royal Palace", records "「おみあふり」冷傘".
