Attested as early as in the 1711 混効験集 Konkoukenshuu Okinawan dictionary (p. 4), under the spelling あさて[ィ] asati. Cognate to Kagoshima あさっちぇ asatche and あさって asatte; Kikai あさてぃ asati; Okinoerabu あさてぃ asati; Okinawan あさってぃ asatti; and standard Japanese あさって【明後日】 asatte "day after tomorrow".
